Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan
Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is a flagship initiative launched by the Government of India in 2009 to enhance and expand secondary education (Classes 9-10) across the country. The program aims to make quality education accessible, affordable, and equitable for all students, especially in rural and economically disadvantaged areas.
Key Objectives of RMSA:

✓
Enhancing Educational Quality – Focus on curriculum development, teacher training, and modern teaching methods to provide students with a well-rounded education.
✓
Reducing Dropout Rates – Encourage student retention by addressing socio-economic barriers, providing scholarships, mid-day meals, and hostel facilities.
✓
Promoting Inclusive Education – Provide special support for girls, differently-abled students, and economically weaker sections, ensuring education for all.
✓
Special Focus on Women & Marginalized Groups – PMKVY prioritizes women, differently-abled individuals, and economically weaker sections, promoting inclusive growth.
✓
ICT-Based Learning – Introduce computer labs, digital learning materials, and smart classrooms to enhance technological literacy among students.
